The relatives of teens unaccounted for after a devastating blaze at a venue in a Swiss alpine town are facing an excruciating period of uncertainty for confirmed information and appealing for information about their children online.

The blaze ripped through the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of January 1st. Verified video reveal the roof structure igniting as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Officials have stated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the victims of the fire, which claimed the lives of 40 people and injured another over a hundred. A spokesperson said on the latest update that 113 of the those hurt have been identified, with work ongoing to identify the other six.

In the waiting period, families and friends have been taking to online platforms to plead for information about their missing relatives who were present at the venue that fateful night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For

"A companion said they escaped after the fire erupted and that he had his phone with him, but then at a specific moment he lost sight of him," she explained, adding he had been wearing a identifiable piece of jewelry.

One of his educators said, "I've always been struck by his kindness and smile, alongside great maturity. Every time offer to help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Greek and Swiss nationality but lives permanently in Switzerland, was also present on that night, according to reports.

Her sibling has posted an appeal on social media, saying the relatives has had "no information" regarding the teenager or the group she was with, who are also reported missing.
