The former president's Family Member Gets Expert Guidance from Tiger Woods Prior to Professional Golf Debut

Young golfer getting ready for major competition

This young athlete boasts substantial social media presence

Kai Trump can count on plenty of prominent backers when she starts her professional golf debut this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in Florida.

Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses several international courses and frequently competes against Kai.

"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we play competitive games," she revealed.

The golfer shared that her grandfather, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Just avoid anxiety."

"He essentially told me to go out there and relax," she continued.

"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, so he's somewhat preoccupied."

Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in just three tournaments recently and has position 461 in AJGA standings.

But she can get advice from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Kai's mother.

"He is the top athlete globally," the young golfer said.

"And he's a superior human being. He told me to compete, enjoy myself, following whatever happens."

Kai will face some of top competitors in women's golf at the competition, including world number two Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers mentioned that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to different demographics, particularly with younger fans.

The social media influencer maintains a massive following and recently launched a personal apparel and wellness company.

She begins at late afternoon GMT.
