The First Xbox Game Pass Additions of 2026 Show Xbox Is Still Fighting.

Across the gaming landscape, enthusiasts continue to ring the knell for the green team. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content about PlayStation as a new development. 2025 was a period of total upheaval for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it's evident that Xbox continues to plan to attract subscribers with strong games on its flagship service.

The Current Inclusions

The duo of games that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass soon that's truly noteworthy.

Upcoming Headline Games

Starting January 13th, the platform will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. Another big get is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."

Compelling Indie Titles

Yet, the less-hyped additions set to join the catalog are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that's a blast to play, drops on Jan. 7th — and it merits a playthrough whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year might get its hooks in you in about 15 minutes flat.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by Rebellion Developments, also warrants your attention. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Well-Rounded Collection

Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription by themselves. However, this batch of games are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of old games you might have missed and new-ish games that lacked the recognition they warranted upon launch — transforming them into perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
