Eulogies Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

Well beyond 14 days subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues are still paying respects to the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt ready to share openly about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can now articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, noting that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the film, commenting that he doesn't recollect "one day without joy".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to guide it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a distinct tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he comprehended the human predicament of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles judge decided to bar the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the local authorities.

A court order issued a security hold on the files to limit the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" associated with the active case.

The relevant authority had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of murder, with a record listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Response and Criticism

Following the killings, public personalities offered varying comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, making provocative statements that were broadly criticized by several commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the detractors last week. Talking on his program, Rogan characterized the statements as "disturbing" and remarked they showed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an adviser should have intervened when the impulse to speak on the tragedy was made.
