Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A spokesman for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an inquiry regarding claims about inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The company declined to specify the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles combined, including a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
